Your licence to the app

SayThis from the Apple App Store is licensed under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. That agreement covers your licence to the app itself. These terms cover the SayThis service behind it — your account, and what we do and do not do with the conversations you bring to it.

What SayThis is

SayThis is operated by Superfime LLC, and “we” below means that company. It is a writing assistant: you give it a message you are stuck on, and it drafts a reply in the tone you chose. It never sends a message on your behalf. Everything it produces is a draft placed in your message box, and every send is an action you take.

You are responsible for what you send

AI-generated text can be wrong. It can misread a screenshot, misjudge what somebody meant, or strike a note that lands badly with a person it has never met. You are responsible for reading a draft before you send it, and for everything you send. SayThis is not a party to your conversations and takes no position in them.

SayThis does not give legal, financial, medical or mental-health advice, and a reply it drafts is not any of those things however confidently it is written. If a message needs a professional, it needs a professional.

Your account

• You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
• Keep your login details to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Do not use SayThis to write unlawful, harassing, threatening or deceptive messages, to impersonate someone, or to send bulk unsolicited messages.
• Do not use it to write sexual content involving minors, or to write to a minor in any way an adult should not.
• Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

The app refuses some of this on its own — an instruction to write something abusive comes back as the firmest reply that is not — but the rule is yours to keep, not the model’s to enforce.

Your content

The conversations you paste, type or screenshot into SayThis remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: processing what you submit in order to produce a draft. We do not store the conversation afterwards, we do not train on it, and there is no setting that changes either. See our privacy policy for what that means in practice.

Most of what you submit was written by somebody else. You are responsible for having the right to submit it — including messages from a group chat, where everybody visible in the screenshot goes with it.

Plans and billing

SayThis Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, billed weekly or yearly. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and their terms govern payment, renewal and refunds. The price and the billing period are shown in the app before you buy, in your own currency, because both vary by region.

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and your store account is charged then, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. The yearly plan begins with a free trial; unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription and is charged at the price shown when you signed up. Manage or cancel in your store account — Apple and Google are the only parties who can, and we cannot cancel or refund on your behalf. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running until the end of the period you have already paid for.

After a subscription ends, the keyboard still types, but writing replies and reading screenshots stop working until you renew. Your account and your settings stay where they are, and you can still open, export or delete them in the app.

Paid plans do not meter replies. There is no monthly allowance and nothing counts down. A per-minute rate limit applies to every account, so that one cannot degrade the service for everyone else; you would have to be sending requests faster than a person types to meet it.

Availability

We aim to keep SayThis working, but we do not guarantee it will be available without interruption. Features may change, and we may retire ones that do not work. The service depends on third-party AI providers and on the mobile platforms, and their outages will be ours too.

Ending it

You can stop using SayThis and delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will explain why where we can.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, SayThis is provided as-is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it — including from a draft you sent. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We will update these terms as the product changes, and the date at the top will say when. Continuing to use SayThis after a change means accepting the updated terms.
