Email support@getsaythis.com. Tell us what you were trying to do — and if a reply came out wrong, paste it in. That is usually enough to find the problem. Send only as much of the conversation as you are comfortable sending; we can usually work from the reply alone.
Setting up the keyboard on iPhone
- Install SayThis and finish the short setup.
- Open Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards, tap Add New Keyboard… and choose SayThis.
- Tap SayThis again in that list, and turn on Allow Full Access. The keyboard cannot reach the internet without it — typing still works if you decline.
- In any messaging app, hold the globe key and switch to SayThis.
On an iPad the path is shorter and starts elsewhere: Settings → Apps → SayThis → Keyboards, where both switches sit together. The app walks you through whichever one you are on.
Setting up the keyboard on Android
- Install SayThis and finish setup.
- Open Android’s keyboard settings and turn SayThis on. Some phones keep it under “Manage on-screen keyboards”; the app has a button that opens the right screen.
- Confirm Android’s prompts about what a keyboard can see.
- In any messaging app, tap the keyboard switcher and pick SayThis.
Subscriptions and billing
Subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play. Manage, change or cancel yours in your store account — we cannot do it for you, and neither can we issue store refunds. Cancelling leaves your access running until the end of the period you have paid for. After that the keyboard still types, but writing replies and reading screenshots wait until you renew.
Your data
You can export everything we hold or delete your account entirely from within the app. There is no “delete my conversations” button, because your conversations were never stored. The privacy policy explains what each of those covers.
Common questions
What is SayThis?
An AI reply assistant for any message. Give it what someone sent you — paste it, screenshot it, or use the SayThis keyboard without leaving the app — choose how you want to sound, and it writes the reply. You read it and you send it.
What kinds of messages is it for?
The ones you reread four times before answering. A friend cancelling again, a message from a date you do not want a second one with, a manager adding work on a Friday, a stranger offering half on a marketplace listing, a family group chat you cannot afford to say yes to. It works on texts, DMs, email and group chats.
Why does it need a screenshot?
Because a phone keyboard genuinely cannot read your conversation. On iOS the system returns zero characters of the thread to a keyboard extension, and on Android a messaging thread lives in a list the keyboard cannot see. Rather than pretend otherwise, SayThis reads the screenshot you take — one gesture you already know, and it captures the whole thread. It reads it on the phone, so for most screenshots no image is uploaded at all. You can also paste the message or type the point you want to make.
Does it send messages for me?
No. It never sends a message on your behalf, and it never will. SayThis writes the draft and puts it in your message box; reading it and pressing send is always yours.
